Synopsis

The apartment complex on the infamous Ira Street is a last resort for those fortunate enough to scrape together a few pennies. People deal with poverty and violence daily, and now a string of murders has solidified fear into their bones. Shavonne, an aspiring young writer, is no exception: he struggles to hold a job, his love life is in shambles, and it seems like he even has a stalker. But the bleakness of his days changes when he meets his next-door neighbor, Lewellyn.

Lewellyn is charming and undoubtedly handsome, but he is rather eccentric. Day after day, he sits on the staircase and peels onions, and his wealth is too suspicious for an Ira Street resident. Despite the warning signs, Shavonne accepts a dinner invitation from Lewellyn. However, during the candlelit dinner, Shavonne stumbles upon a mutilated corpse—later discovered as evidence of the Ira Street murderer's latest crime.

As Shavonne tiptoes around Lewellyn trying to save his own skin, strange things begin to happen, and he wonders if Lewellyn is his enemy or the only one truly on his side.

It's rare to find a BL that pulls at your heartstrings as much as this one does. The story and the journey both main character's go through is gut-wrenching and poignant, while also being touching and meaningful. Each chapter served a purpose, and the plot progression was fantastic. This is really something special, I don't think I've ever read a BL that made me feel close to tears like this one did. Normally in BL, I tend to dislike the protagonist, but this one has so much depth.

A very well written story with a nice balance between the past and the present time, leaving you satisfied with all your questions answered.

Awesome character develoment with perfect plottwists here and there.

I love how the ending has such a perfect closure explaining everything and what happens to everyone without feeling that it has been rushet.

Some People get emotional reactions while reading this, i didnt, cause i was too caught up in the psychological thrill this story gave me.

Im a little curious what happened to the other "dogs" but on the other hand im kinda glad they didnt explain it has its irrelevant ...
