Coming of age story about forgiving and letting go. Both manga have a female main character struggling with their romantic relationship and learn from their mistake without exaggerating drama. Both female MC are strong and know when to make decision.

Plot-wise the stories are pretty different, but they share similar tones, styles, and characters. Both feature characters who are a little weird and relish in that weirdness. There are themes of romance, but it's not necessarily an all-encompassing main point of either manga -- we get to see all types of relationships between characters. The art styles simple, the stories are light, and both will leave you a little more cheerful.

The protagonists and art styles of these two stories are so similar, I checked multiple times to see if it was the same author. Both stories follow a similar protagonist through a new stage of her life and the people that come with it. The pacing a plot direction of both follow similar patterns, and the overall tone is almost a perfect match. Both are "ordinary" hidden gems in the same way.

Both are these are very realistic and honest about the complexities of life. :)

These joseis both deal with young women that have jobs / careers that often have a lot of overtime and overtake their social lives and relationships. Hataraki Man could be seen as either as seinen or a josei.
