The Kodansha Manga Award (講談社漫画賞, Kōdansha Manga Shō) is an annual award for serialized manga published in the previous year, the event is sponsored by the publisher Kodansha. These are some manga that feature doctors performing surgery. Only some of them have a medical license. Every manga listed should have some sort of english translation, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's fully translated. A chronological selection of the most important works of Osamu Tezuka, a timeless influential figure on the medium and one of the greatest artists of all time. His works also influenced the future generation of mangakas including Fujiko (Doraemon), Monkey punch (Lupin), Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira), Akira Toriyama (Dragon ball), and many more.
