Both Sukeban Deka and Yankee-kun to Megane-chan have delinquent heroines who are good at fighting. Their tones are very different though- the difference between the 80s and the 00s. Despite the heroine of Sukeban Deka living by a code and trying to dispense justice, the body count around her is sky high as those she cares for are murdered or betray her one after another. Yankee-kun to Megane-chan owes more to shonen than shoujo and focuses more on nakama and other Shonen Jump approved themes. Gokusen and Sukeban Deka both deal with delinquents, although they are from completely different decades and have very different themes. If you liked Gokusen, you should check out Sukeban Deka which was one of the big three manga that started the sukeban craze in the 80s.
