Both focus on a mc with self esteem issues and often keeps to themselves, and has supernatural powers and both focuses on a much bigger story than the characters would have thought it would have been. 

Like Jo, Kurohime has is a badass gun slinger female protagonist that is pursuing her goal solving all her conflicts with the end of her gun.  

A pair of misfits for hire who get themselves into trouble and have terrible luck with money. In GetBackers it is Ban and Ginji running a recovery service and in Burst Angel it is Meg and Jo who are "jacks of all trades". Both have good fights.
