Both stories are begining because of action (curse/blessing) from a god represented by a cat-statue. Both stories are ecchi, comedy and romance. I think also heroes wanting to to lift up their courses.

Light-hearted romantic narratives aimed towards the shounen demographic.

Both are manga about a guy in a typical harem situation. Both Ikuto and Junpei are incredibly dense, and are often put in situations dealing with the supernatural that they don't really want to accept or deal with. Both manga are incredibly funny and have a kind of slice-of-life feel to them. It's also very obvious that the protagonist and the main girl like each other, but are too embarrassed/dense to confess to each other.

The protagonists have unfortunate circumstances that get them into awkward situations with girls; in Nisekoi, its his gangster family and in Nyan Koi, its the cat curse. The cast is similar. Both protagonists have a mutual crush with shy girl, a tsundere who is always arguing with the protagonist to the point where he absolutely hates her and a female that gets confused for a male. Both focus more on comedy than the romance.

Light-hearted romantic comedies with a supernatural twist. In Nyan Koi!, the male protagonist has been cursed by a cat deity and can now speak and understand cats. In Kitsune no Yomeiri, the male protagonist develops a relationship with a fox who has taken on a human form.
