Whenever there's a side story in any kind of series you read, do you enjoy them? Are they exciting and funny or do they make you feel like saying; What was/is the point of this to be honest?
This is what this spin-off of one of the most enjoyable series I've read, I'm the Evil Lord of an Intergalactic Empire, kind of feels like.
What is the point of this?
But, as enjoyable as the parent story is, this one has it's own perks. Taking place in the sidelines or other parts of lord Liams domain or the space itself, it's not a different dimension or world
...
at least, thankfully.
We have a female knight named Emma, some looser soldiers by her side and there are few characters from the main series in this one as well. Now if you're familiar with the main series, two female nut case knights who work for lord Liam have their fun in this spin-off, imagine the horror Emma has to witness. You might know whom I'm talking about if you've read the main series for a while.
The point of this series would probably be to give more story time on characters who doesn't get much time in the main series. However, we do have Emma who's a brand new character, but she's so bland and quite boring. There's nothing interesting about her that catches my interest at all. Maybe except that she can pilot an Avid kind of like vessel. The main series characters are the ones who kind of steal the show and makes this series more interesting but it's not like they take over this entire spin-off series.
The illustrations are exactly the same kind as in the main series. There are some cute ones of Emma and other female characters but also cool robots.
Personal thoughts is still that I still don't really know what the point of this is. But it's enjoyable in it's own way at least. There's nothing wrong with the series and it has interesting characters and fights. Seeing a different kind of world view instead of from lord Liams is the point. Which I can dig since the main series is so enjoyable. Which to be honest, might be the point of this.
If you've enjoyed the main series then give this one a try is basically all I can say.
