Being gay doesn't excuse sexual harassment. Which is what happens in the second chapter of this manga. The main character, who is a high school student, gropes his teacher while confronting him for being a homophobe. The teacher clearly tells him to stop, and yet he doesn't. Even asking if it makes him uncomfortable because he's gay. No, the teacher isn't being homophobic for not wanting his gay student to grope him. The premise of internalizing hatred aimed at you to the point where you'd rather be the monster people see does hit home personally. One day something tips you over the edge, and your head cracks open to reveal a grotesque visage. You finally have some power over those who hate you in this way. This is what has happened to Takashi Arashiro, and that's where the intrigue of the concept ends.
