An intriguing revenge premise bogged down by poor execution and bland characters.
Story: 4/10
The concept of a betrayed saintess making a deal with the devil for revenge has appeal. However, the pacing is far too slow with minimal plot progression. The revenge scheme itself is not well conveyed.
Art: 7/10
The art style is fairly attractive with ample detail in clothing and backgrounds. However, character expressions are limited and panels feel static.
Characters: 3/10
The protagonist does not come across as compelling despite her tragic backstory. The revenge motivation intended to make her an antiheroine falls flat. The male lead is generic. Supporting characters are one-dimensional.

I found the manhwa increasingly hard to get through due to the glacial plot movement and lack of interesting characters. The revenge plot hinted at much better potential.
In summary, The Lady's Dark Secret fails to deliver on its intriguing concept. Improved pacing, a complex protagonist and higher narrative stakes could help elevate this into an engaging dark fantasy.
