This poor manga got cancelled too quickly and it really should have been given more of a chance to develop. Unfortunately, as it got cancelled after its second tank release, the mangaka had to wrap up everything in a hurry, which certainly shows. It's sad, but manga is a cutthroat business, and as it failed to appeal to the audience, its demise was inevitable.
As expressed in the title, Eiji is a poor boy from a poor family, so he lives as a wallflower, as he truly does not have much money. What little he has he has to carefully save in order to get anything

he likes. However, poor as he is, he's a genuinely nice person, he does nothing for the reward, he does it because it's the right thing to do. One of his random acts of kindness ends up startling the life out of him, as when he kindly helped out the grandmother of his rich classmate Aoi, granny gave him a 10/10 review to her husband, Aoi's grandfather. They investigate him and like what they discover of his personality that when they discover he's the grandson of a powerful family, they insist on getting the two engaged. What follows is the Princess and the Pauper in a romcom, which is fine as a premise.
Unfortunately, due to the cancellation, everything is rushed to try to string together an ending. Otherwise, this would have taken its time to develop, as there were plenty of elements of character development and struggles present that would have led this to being a pleasant read. Given it's a short read, I recommend it, so that the mangaka's feelings can be seen and appreciated, as well as to enjoy the relaxing time with this story.
