It’s hard to recommend this story because it’s too mature, realistic and miserable. The more you understand how harsh the world is, the more you will understand this manhwa.

The best thing of this manhwa is not only the beautiful/detailed art style but also the story and character development

Story:
I’ll review both from manhwa and novel (which is finished already) view point.
The setting of this longgg, unpredictable historic romance drama manhwa is likely be in 19th century without a single fantasy thing, mainly focus on ML and FL.
It’s not a romance story that MC mostly show their love to each other and makes you smile. I ... feel my heart ached all the time while I was reading because the story is so intense, miserable and TOO realistic. The pacing is good too. For example, when they faced an unpleasant situation, the story was told little by little so the read would be deep into the story and be shown that the problems were not easy to be solved.
Aside from drama, the scene when mc slept together came out VERY often.

Character:
THE DEVELOPMENT IS TOO GOOD
The word ‘male leader’ doesn’t mean ‘good person’. He is like real-world human who have good and bad side. The reader might judge him as a bad person at first glance but after knowing how he grew up, everything was understanding why he did something bad.
For the FL, she is an air-head countryside girl who mostly did stupid things yet I couldn’t hate her because that’s the way she was, considering how she was rose.

I think the the title for this manhwa is perfect apart from the fact that it should have been "Problematic relationship between a girl from the boonies and our super handsome prince". The love relationship in the manhwa provides all the ingredients to brew what makes a relationship toxic.

It is obviously a fantasy manhwa, girl belonging from a fallen noble family gets entangled into the businesses of our handsome prince. It is usual in its formula. But what it does to stand apart from others is to make the story as infuriating as possible for someone reading it.

Now before I go deep into my review ... aka rant, I want to talk about the art which is at least better than the story, but that is not much of a compliment. The art for the characters are beautifully drawn but probably their inexperience or do I say laziness shows in the backgrounds of the scenes which feel AI generated sometimes. They have that fake-ish aura which I can't remove from the back of my head.

Now onto the characters. Firstly let's talk about our "Oh so handsome and charming prince". The fact that I am using handsome so many times is because authors wants the readers to. A body so perfect, even Greek gods would shrivel with embarrassment. Charm so irresistible, that he attracts girl in his vicinity like magnet, aura so magnificent that...... , this so that that...... ,
*Sigh*
Author cannot show one panel of his without infinitely beautifying him. That added with his lone wolf and 'poisonous mushroom' as the manhwa likes to use that word in synonym to toxic personality, makes the situation far more worse than you would imagine.

Now, our MC, who is a girl in the boonies, who is so kind, helpful, naïve...... idk...... dumb? She is just a dumb girl who can't seem to decide what is right, but when she does decide, she constantly regrets it. I think those few words seem to describe our overly cliched MC. Oh but did the MC get some development? Yes she did, she turned from a "girl who blushes from just a glance of prince" to a "girl who blushes from two glances of prince". Seems about right.

The only characters I seem to like or care about are the Redhead artist and the Mc's maid.

Now about the story which can be defined by "MC is in trouble, prince come like a knight in shining armor to save her" and oh did I forgot to write "coincidentally". My bad. While this happen in the first half of the story the other half drops this formula and introduces a new problem one. The MC gets married to prince. Happy Ending right? Nah fuck that. The story in that half goes like this "MC regrets the decision to marry prince, he comes and says few words of praise to the MC and she is all over him, while he treats her like a sex sleeve". And it is all over again and again, rinse and repeat.

All the situations are so comical and outrageous that I seem to have lost all care about.
