This series has been quite enjoyable from start to finish and I've always been able to remember the story whenever a new chapter popped up. As I followed the series from it's earlier chapters it had a certain appeal to me, even though it fell short in various aspects. And if I were to look at it now it would fall into mediocracy, a rating between 5/10 and 6/10.
Art - 5.7/10
The artstyle in the series has not been any remarkable, and is more or less bland for it's kind. However the artstyle has it's charms and has remained steadfast from start to finish. The artstyle
...
is not particullary exciting nor different but it's story is what elevated this series further.
Story - 6.4/10
The story is what makes series more enjoyable and compensates for the artstyle. The earlier stages of the series is what hefty carried how I rate this series. The early stages had this smuggness and satisfaction whenever our main character accomplished something, but as the story progressed and didn't allow the story to properly explain what they were doing (from scientific terms) it felt increasingly more flimsy.
Characters - 5.3/10
The characters are what mostly impacted the overrall score, since the only characters that was more or less explored was the protagonist and antagonist. In the case of our protagonist and antagonist we could extend it into two individuals that was explored respectively (four people in total). But the remaining part of the cast is what didn't develop, except their end goal; be better (more or less), just what any side character would think when comparing themselves to the main character.
Personal View - meh
As I have mentioned before; it has been an enjoyable series but what drags it down was the later chapters of mushed and rushed content with weak explanation or just unconvincing, nonsensical excuses for different phenomenons, alongside it's weak character cast. The characters didn't properly develop and felt like multiple Kibas from Naruto, just there to make our protagonist appear more superior.
Overall - 6/10 or is it?
This series is an overall 6/10 based on the factors I have mentioned, however from my personal bias it would result in a 7/10 (or 6.6/10). Super Genius DNA, or how I have known it as: I'm The Only One With Genius Dna, isn't something I would recommend to others. It simply occupies a place in my manga list, like Kiba's presence in Naruto.
