Farts, poop, absurdity. 10th Dimension Boys has it all. Without any overarching plot, comedy is key on this series and does it spectacularly.
If you like potty humor or short comics like Bluechair, Murrz, and the like, then this is the perfect one for you. The plot changes episode to episode and showcases different scenarios. From catching a Frisbee with butts,
to poop dyed hair and unending leg hair, 10th Dimension Boys has it all. Every chapter is a new laugh and perfectly self contained. The only thing wrong with the writing likely comes from the translators. The r-slur is used sparingly but is jarring nonetheless
...
with every use. However, it's likely a sign of the times but that doesn't make it more acceptable.
Songjo and Ganhan are the only two recurring characters and everyone are just vessels for jokes. There are some running gags for the two (like yaoi baiting) but they never get any real character development. Side characters only exist for a chapter and never come back, but they don't need to.
The art is simple without color, but the chosen style can add to the comedy at times. Fine details aren't ever present except when it comes to the poop jokes. The strips are still easy to follow despite being somewhat condensed on itself. Cutbu only takes advantage of the medium occasionally, with moth being drawn as if they were on a single sheet of paper.
10th Dimension Boys is perfect for anybody who wants a quick laugh. The 120 episodes go by quick and are quite the ride. Perfect for lovers of short, episodic comedy strips like Bluechair, My Giant Nerd Boyfriend, Murrz, and the like.
