This story is semi original but not in a new or innovative way. It had potential but it never actually tried to go anywhere with it. The author seemed to have a great idea of who his characters were but not of what they wanted to do. Most of the story is just the backstory of the prince. They don't show any modern interactions and time skip most of the stuff we would want to read about.

This story runs on the dumbest idea ever. It is international tradition that if a king and queen do not have a male heir,
...
they lock their daughter in a tower till a prince rescues her. they are then married and the prince becomes the king of that kingdom. It doesn't just happen once or twice. there are at least 6 princesses in towers at the same time as our FL.
The ending is incredibly confusing and just plain disappointing. It is so bad, they seemed to realize it was bad and acted like this was all a story read by someone to their children and had the children react to how bad the end was.
The missed opportunities for romance are glaringly obvious. There are two panels that could be considered to have romance on them but we don't even get any kind of resolution to that. This sets itself up to have a romantic sub plot and then goes nowhere with it.
