An insanely unromantic reverse harem where nearly everyone is a crazy asshole, but none more than the FL.
Alright so reading that you might be wondering how that could ever be good, if you read the description for this manwha you're probably confused and turned off even more… but hear me out, this is an unsuspecting masterpiece.
(Before I get into the meat of it let me explain that I don't exactly have a way with words, but this Manwha didn't have any reviews at the time of writing and I can't stand the thought that someone could be interested then just read the description and then
...
completely ignore it. Since that's my goal the rest of this review will be spoiler free!)
Characters (10)
Before anything else let me get this out of the way, Rosalite does not care about her brother except for the fact that he can be cute at times and more importantly keeps her alive in this timeline. Rosalite does not care for anyone, she only cares about what they can do for her…That's insanely cool and I love her for it, I also think it makes a lot of sense with the time she's lived and the amount of times shes been torn away from her friends and family back to the start. Nothing except death, money and power mean much to her at this point.
There's a fan theory that although no one but Rosalite knows of the time loops others still get impacted by it and that's why everyone is so batshit insane. I think that's entirely possible even with the one sane character, Glenn. Glenn is probably the only one deserving of pity in this story but for the sake of spoilers, I won't explain why, he's also insanely cute. The thing with this manwha is that it is NOT afraid to fanservice its male characters, especially their tits, if you're into that then this is perfect for you.
All in all, there's a wide and colorful cast of characters, it doesn't feel like too much or too little time is spent with a single character, everyone is insane, honest, and likable. (That's not to say that they aren't all complete selfish dicks, that's where their likeableness comes from!)
Art style (8)
The art style fits the comedy perfectly, bold sharp thin lines with clean coloring. Super satisfying. The artist is not afraid to push the expressions but not too far, this story would fall flat without this. At the time of writing this is still publishing so I have to mention that the output rate is relatively fast as well as the satisfying art.
Story (9)
This is a comedy first and foremost, it's in no way a sad story… but it does have some very miserable aspects. You don't really dwell on the sad stuff in this story, instead, it's used to push the plot and make sense of a character's actions. The way the author pushes away the sad stuff actually makes it much more effective in my opinion, it's on the back of your mind while your laughing but it doesn't feel like a burden and you aren't thinking ‘yeah yeah we get it already’.
This is probably the funniest or one of the funniest things I've read so far, most chapters I was laughing out loud and in some gagging for air. The jokes honestly aren't really anything special but they just hit.
