While the story held promise, much of it gets lost because of the ML. Everything written in this review is what was read up to chapter 40, no spoilers from elsewhere is below.
.
FL is isekai'd as the soon-to-be-killed character of a story she once read, but years prior to the event so there was time to prepare herself. Trying to dodge her death flags all the while, her sister ultimately brings home the FL - a man who, due to a curse of sorts, regresses into a child version of himself. FL's sister is wholly unaware of this for the majority of this arc,
...
largely due to her working as a guard/mercenary in the vicinity so she's rarely home.
There is the awkwardness of FL knowing ML is a full-grown man, but as a child, he has no idea of anything including himself. So FL, as the one without a job of her own, takes to raising him. Along the way she learns more of herself - not part of the original script - and ML slowly-but-not-really is overcoming his curse. This is the most endearing bit of this series.
Unfortunately, the story doesn't deviate much and so FL's death flags activate. This leads to ML being taken back to his Estate and FL took the chance to run away and allow him to forget about her, so she can live her life and the story can continue to progress. She managed to do this for a while until ML returns as a war hero and the parading party chances into her new town.
ML then kidnaps and entraps FL at his mansion. She can't escape lest she activates traps used to ward against intruders (assassins). Even if she doesn't try to leave, she ends-up setting them off. All the while, ML is trying to woo her and all the potential for FL is useless as she accepts becoming a caged bird.
