I've decided to review all 4 one-shots separately so you can know which ones are worth your time and which ones aren't.
1. I Can't Stand You
Well, the title of this one-shot was spot-on. I couldn't stand this one. I found myself struggling to finish it. One, I hate when the girl always waits until the last possible second to confess. If you really love someone, you would want to tell them immediately, right? Apparently not Rena, one of the main protagonists. She constantly stands by while Hanaoka moves in on her man! Instead of just telling Miyake how she feels, she goes into a corner
...
and cries. I'm not sure how she ended up with Miyake after all that. She doesn't seem to fight very much for what she wants. Don't even get me started on Hanaoka. She's a one-dimensional and poor excuse of a Yandere. She had no character development whatsoever other than the fact that she was a crazy and deluded bitch. If you're planning on reading any of the stories from this collection, don't read I Can't Stand You unless you like boring characters, sensitive heroines and deluded girls who'll get attention from anyone.
2. Caught On You
I knew from the first page of this one-shot that it was going to be similar to my feelings for I Can't Stand You and I was not wrong. The story starts off with Maho's boyfriend (whose name I don't know) breaking up with her. I have to give Maho credit though. She doesn't start crying like a little baby. She gets pissed. It's apparent Maho has had a string of bad relationships from having one boyfriend who cheated on her and another having 4 bad relationships himself before he met Maho. Just when I was starting to like Maho, she goes and blames the guys for all her bad relatioships instead of evaluating herself and thinking she might be the one to blame in the relationship or at least the fault is 50/50 between both parties.
This plot was to be expected based on the summary. Just when Maho breaks up with her latest boyfriend, her first boyfriend, her first love, begins to attend the school she attends! OH MY GOD! I'm so tired of this trope. For some strange reason she slaps the hell out of this guy when she sees him with a new girl wrapped around his waist and runs away. I honestly don't know what's up with all these crazy -deres, but they all need to be shipped off to an island somewhere and never reproduce (which, by the looks of it, no one would want to reproduce with them anyway).
3. Something's Wrong
This is probably the only story I enjoyed. It starts out with our two MC's arguing. Both characters were immature as hell, but it was so bad/annoying that it was almost comical. This story I find more reasonable than the first two. Misono has always been seen as one of the guys by her best friend, Yuuta, so it makes sense that he wouldn't consider liking her in a romantic way until she opened his eyes by acting more feminine. (Unless he has a thing for incest.) Of course, no story in this collection of one shots would be complete without that one crazy bitch vying for the main male character's attention and comes off as desperate, cheap, and psychotic.
4. See You Tomorrow
Didn't even really bother with this one. Sorry, but I hate teacher-student stories and I also hate really huge age gaps if one party isn't a supernatural creature. If that's your cup of tea, then maybe you should read and decide for yourself if this was a hit or a miss. I DNF this one about 10 pages in.
All in all, the only story in this collection worth reading was number three, and even that one had some major flaws. Would not recommend this if you prefer realistic love development and characters that aren't flat and two-dimensional.
