I'm reviewing this manga since none have done so. THIS IS A SPOILER FREE REVIEW
This may, from first glance seem to be a slice of life, romance manga but it isn't so. Both the mc and fmc have feelings for each other but didn't have the courage to come out and confess their feelings to each other. Pretty generic setting for a romance manga, but a sudden unfortunate event changed both their lives. But that didn't change the way the mc treated fmc, which in my opinion, showed how great of a person, mc was. This is the basic SPOILER FREE premise of this very

short manga.
The most intriguing part is how Rie Aruga, the mangaka quite realistically depicted the event which changed the lives of mc and fmc and their respective family. The portrayal of mc being a pragmatic, thoughtful and kind person was done so well, alongside the fmc who too was a very lovable, level-headed yet timid person. The setting of the story, the timeskip and the characters were well thought.
Personally, I was a bit skeptic about this manga, as I wasn't a big fan of Aruga sensei's previous work Perfect World, as it kind of deviated from the path I expected it would follow and also the characters weren't that well thought out, but with this one, it left me stunned. This manga was beautiful yet at times tragic, it showed that seven chapters are just enough for making a beautiful manga. It showed the mental state of people and the ones associated with that person(s) who are/were victims of unfortunate, sad and cruel events in their lives and how those events leaved them scarred for the rest of their lives, It also showed the beauty of pure and unselfish love which can mostly be found in anime, movies and mangas lastly, it teaches us that communication and promises are important in our lives. I highly recommend people to read this gem of a manga and hope that it gets the recognition it deserves.
