Same idea, gotta improve your isekai world so you can read books and enjoy modern luxuries.

This is an open world story like mushoku tensei where you watch the mc grow up. Unlike mushoku tensei, its not an isekai but its the kind of story in which our world is ancient for the story timeline as it has collapsed and now the humans are back to living the old way without medicines and people dying from cold. Our mc kinda remembers his past life and he wants to live like us(proper sanitation, luxuries, schooling etc.) and hence strives forward toward the goal. The source is the light novel but the manga isn't that bad either(I've not read the LN).

Although not an isekai, Toshokan no Daimajatsushi is very similar to Fushi no Kami because the stories both focus on the importance of written word and literature in a world where they are a rarity. There is a lot of inconvenience in both settings due to lack of technology and not being developed in general. The stories both start off with the main characters growing up in an impoverished land/village and working their way up while pursuing more knowledge.
