With just only one chapter out it can't be reviewed critically but still the storyline presented to us with only one chapter out is quite captivating in i's own beauty. The manga presents us with a man who is a married school teacher, on his way home finds his wife drunk, with another men entering a (love) hotel. In this position what would a normal person would do? Either confront her or interrogate her when she returns home, right? But this mc is different, he ran away from the scene, broken down and travels across japan to comfort his broken heart.

This is the basic ... premise of the manga so far(I won't say anything more than this as it would be considered as spoiler). But with only this one chapter the mangaka introduced the beautiful elements of drama, romance, slice of life in it. The unique character of the mc and his dream of travelling across japan, and the slight hint of suspense in the end of chapter one spices up the whole chapter leaving to wonder what is going on.

My believe is that if the mangaka puts the right amount of drama, romance and psychological suspense in it than it would turn out to be a pretty decent manga, though the reverse can even happen. Nonetheless I expect great things from this manga

At the point of writing, there are only 2 chapters. Narrative wise, while I think it is interesting especially for this medium of Manga, this form of drama (teacher-student relationship-risk-thing) isn't really lacking in Japanese media. Still, based on the nuance in character building and storytelling in these 2 chapters, I would say that there is an overwhelming amount of potential. The biggest selling point of this story would be its mystery and the threat of social suicide. But this narrative thread is extremely easy to tilt toward bleak nihilism especially considering the fact that controversy and social ostracisation is pretty horrifying in Japan. ... I, for one hope that it doesn't go too much into the waters of false accusations as the film 'The Hunt' did (though it would be interesting, harder to execute well, and not particularly pleasant to read), and perhaps tell a more gentle and subtle story about human nature.

Another potential pitfall might be that the story goes on for far too long for its own good. I think something like 'Boy's Abyss' or 'Blood on the Tracks' as great as they are, can feel like they suffer a little from an overly lengthy narrative, repeating similar psychological turmoils and cues from earlier sequences.

To conclude, the story may read a little typical now, but there's a lot of potential here. I may be assuming this based on the storytelling execution of these 2 chapters and this assumption may be proven wrong in the future but I have a good feeling about this. Hope this nuance in its storytelling keeps up in the later chapters. I may revisit this review in the future.

8 Chapters in, it's worth making a review just clear things up given all the other reviews are only from 1 or 2 chapters in which gives the idea that this is a teacher-student relationship drama story.

This is not a romance/drama story. It appears that way from the outset, but the story very quickly shifts to something more like a mystery psychological thriller. The latter part of the synopsis for the story is more important if you're judging whether or not this story will be for you - "At the same time, a mysterious and deadly disease has been spreading across Japan in the exact ... order that Satoru had traveled in".

Honestly, the main character is not necessarily the most interesting character so far, but the narrative has managed to keep me hooked as it's an interesting premise. The story is pretty upfront about the student Aioi Aki being abnormal. There's one particular line towards the end of Chapter 2 which you may write off if you aren't looking for it that goes to explain a lot - it only really clicked going back to reread it while making this review.

It's interesting so far, and has a good amount of suspense.

At the point of writing this review there are only two chapters released and considering those two chapters, i am henceforth writing this review.

MC:
The protagonist is kinda absent minded & hopeless type which could make it seem less interesting as he barely shows emotion . it would be great if his character develops

Character:
The main girl Aioi Aki who seems the manipulative making him a slave type who wants to play with his life but has a connection with him maybe rebirth or reincarnation . which is all the way makes it worth the read

As it has only two chapters released there are ... not any side characters highlighted expect his wife, who is very weird . So we will leave this part for now.

The couple meeting story is really just ….ramen(not kidding) . Tbh i don't buy it that they are married but still only 2 chapters so i cant say too much.

Art: Decent panels , nothing out of the ordinary

My views: the manga has a lot of potential in a good way or it will be the next big controversial manga (it the author decides to take a risky route)


anyways i have hopes for this manga as it had already made me head scratching from the very beginning
