If I were to read the synopsis of Ottoman instead of looking at just the cover, I wouldn't of even given this a chance, cuz I mean "dreams of becoming a manga artist" "aliens invade" "Husband-man" has got to be one of the most generic and basic anime and manga tropes (disregarding the "husband-man" bit, that just sounded plain stupid) ever right? right? WRONG!

Ottoman is a relatively new superhero (yes superhero) series and as of this review has only 8 chapters released, and already I'm giving it an 8 which can rise higher if done right.

I really like seeing more mangas where relationships between the MC and their love interest are wholesome and more matue. Most of relationships in a typical shounen manga are modeled on many stereotypes of how highschoolers behave, so I always enjoy seeing adult people behaving like adults should and just not being toxic towards eachother. So having another manga that does not perpetrate those toxic stereotypes is a good thing and more people should read it. Story and the world are enough to keep you interested.
