same football sports manga, but if ao ashi were focusing on the struggle of being a profesional football player, giant killing more focusing on what is football itself. the story focused more on clubs, managerial side, supporters, and how impactfull football is to people that really loved football. 

Giant Killing and Ao Ashi doesn't really have similar stories but more similar on very well written characters and plot. Real football, tactics and informations etc. Very realistic and enjoyable. Definitely recommended if you love Football and Giant Killing.  

Both of them revolve around professionals in the sports they practice. Both of them revolve around sports teams that are struggling in one way or another. In both of them, the main character ends up being the driving force behind the regained success of the sports team, after suddenly joining. Both of them rely on mind games and outsmarting the move the opponent makes using generally risky/clever strategies. Both of them have large main casts of characters that don't necessarily get the spotlight or development, the main idea is focusing on the pro aspect of the game and the struggle of staying afloat and essentially maintaining your job. The focus is on the main characters how they can see the potential in other players' abilities. read more 

A common trope within football mangas is that they involve superhuman characters with match-winning skills. On the other hand, both Days and Giant Killing focus on realistic team play and character development. However, Giant Killing is meant for a more mature audience and based on club football, unlike Days which is based on high school football.
