There's no point in beating around the bush. Everything was great until chapter 4.

Sure, there was a singular incident where one character kissed another character without asking and that didn't feel too good to read, but it led to a conversation about biphobia and bi acceptance which I felt was pretty solid despite how rushed it was. Honestly, the pacing isn't super great in general, but I was willing to accept that for the first three chapters simply because I can understand the limit to telling a whole story in that short amount of time and what I did get to see caught my interest.

And ... then chapter 4 starts with a character stating upfront that he doesn't want to consume alcohol. Great! A boundary has been established! But unfortunately, his partner is horny and anyone who is familiar enough with the tropes of the genre knows exactly where this is going. His partner makes the entirely grotesque decision to spike some chocolates with the specific intention of getting him drunk enough to coerce him into sex. That did not have to be the plot of this chapter. They could have had a conversation about it. Heck, if the spiked chocolate had been a mutually consensual part of their foreplay, even that would have been fine! While I can't say that the way this trope was executed here is as bad as other BL my eyes have had the misfortune of seeing, I also can't say it's excusable and it spoiled the experience of an otherwise sweet relationship for me.

Aside from that, the characters are mostly fun and likeable, the art style is very cute, and the sweets really make me wish I could see those pages in color! Even the few side characters we see are pretty enjoyable. My favorite is Miyamori, who seems super invested in his boss' life and well-being. The plot of the first three chapters and the bonus one-shots at the end is cute, mostly sweet, and a good balance of light angst and fluff. It cannot be overstated just how jarring the tonal shift of chapter 4 really is. So, brace yourself... or just skip it and enjoy the lighthearted story beats leading up to and following it like I plan to do upon any further rereads.

I fell in love with this Manga and the one-shot!
The first chapter immediately got me hooked up. The theme, plot and characters feel so interesting to me.

First, I could have never imagined that the whole "sweets store" theme would work out, but at the same time it was like a perfect fit. Giving so many great opportunities for cute scenarios. Even though their story started way different than I would have ever imagined... It was just so unique? Even dumb maybe? But in any case, it got me interested.

Second thing that totally got me, is the cute_ish art style. It suits my taste ... just perfectly. It fits both characters damn well. Their impressions really stand out due to that. Not just their impressions. They themselves are interesting. First we have the rude and dishonest one and second we have the polite and honest one. They just add up perfectly.

Even though the structure and the end are pretty clear, I just want to see more of it. It had me laughing so many times in just these 5 chapters, and my heart jumped during the kissing panels and the one-shot.


This makes it 10/10 and totally recommendable!

I was quite excited when i started to read, since the manga have this style that remember me the "classical" japanese style, but most of time i think was or annoying or nice. The main character (Sakura) is really annoying, and got me tired since the first pannel, Tatsuya is his opposite, so both of them made a good couple.
The second and third were good chapters, and they left me with a warm heart.
The chapter four...I had mixed feelings. It was a good chapter, and the art ... was better than usual, but he forced Sojiro to consume alchohol, even he said he doesn't want, that made me really unconfortable in the beggining of the chapter.
And we have the extra stories, that was really cute! I really liked them all, showing more about their relationship, since the manga was short and didn't have a deep character development.

In the end was a quite good storie, with a low character development, and more about sweets and frech talking. The art is decent most of times, and the theme (chocolate shops) was the only new thing i never seen, but i don't think is something that you can sustetain for a long time. Isn't a bad manga, just isn't memorable for me.

I didn't expect much from a 5 chapter manga but the MCs quickly won me over. They both were not the type of characters I expected and their straightforwardness and lack of over-dramatic cold behaviour towards each other or lack of rivalry was also very nice.
The first 3 chapters and the bonus slice of life moments are highly recommended.
Overall it's a good manga. Not the greatest out there but one of the better ones. Especially considering how many mangas end up with the MCs having non-consensual or dub-con "making love".
No such thing here.
Both love each other and meet naturally from eating each others sweets and ... then confessing feelings properly before diving into a stable relationship.
I just wish there was more. I would love to just read their daily lives and how they influence each other both personally and work wise.
