Honestly, this is probably one of the easiest and most comfortable to read LNs I’ve encountered in a long time. One where you can easily go and read one volume in a single sitting (given you can endure an MC that’s not in the center of everything).
For once not a story that needs to rely on foreshadowing, over dramatization and an MC with a hero complex drawing women to him just because he has the ability to breath, nor overly abuses typical anime-culture clichés.
But be aware, our MC hardly fills the classic role of a “main character”. Here he is far more the reader’s point ...

Enjoyed it very much. Though the "romance" is slow it's still very entertaining.

Most people will probably think this is a harem but I assure you it's not. Nukumizu is just like the mother of the losing heroines and their platonic relationship is so wholesome.

Even though the "romance" is slow I love the comedy in this Novel every volume is so funny you just can't help to chuckle, though there's drama sometimes. So for me the slowburn makes this so much enjoyable, so for the people who doesn't like slowburn give this one atleast ...

Too Many Losing Heroines is a romcom about an introverted young man and his interactions with several girls who have all been rejected by their crushes. It takes the best girl tropes of non-winning girls in romcoms (the childhood friend, the shy one, the sporty one, etc.) and gives them depth by exploring their thoughts and how they cope with heartbreak.

The writing style is simple and straightforward, usually from the perspective of the main character (MC), but occasionally from the perspective of someone else. The book follows a pattern of a main chapter followed by a “special chapter” from another point of view or providing ...

Overall, an interesting read with good characters and comedy elements.

It's been a long time since I last read a (harem) Rom-Com that didn't completely forget the comedy part of its genre and actually made you laugh at times.
Characters are interesting and rich in personality, while not feeling artificial or overly forced in action or behavior.

If I had to name a "weakness", it's the MMC and his more supportive/observative role. If you'd like to see the MMC experiencing his own Rom-Com, you'll likely feel let down here. At least as of volume 3. While he surely will experience his own proper romance at some point along ...

Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! was a simple but enjoyable read, and as of now (with 7 volumes released), it offers a lot to enjoy, although it's not without its lows.

The main premise is probably one of the first things that will catch your eye. It's not uncommon for female MCs to have crushes on secondary characters and even be rejected, but I've never read a story that focuses on a group of them. Generally, I think it was executed well throughout the beginning of the story. It was enjoyable to watch the different girls grieve and come to terms with the end of their ...

I generally agree with most reviewers that the story can be fun and entertaining.

There are just two things that I want future readers to be aware of:
At times you'll want to jump into the story and slap MC because he's so dense. In fact he's so dense that it has become unrealistic.

The other thing is, that the novels are really badly written. Often you won't know who is talking, because there are no dialog markers like "... he said." or "... she mentioned".
The fan translation I have read is quite wooden, I have tried to compare it to the original with my rudimentary knowledge of ...
