This book is honestly the single best criticism of isekai I've seen. A lot of other works poke fun at some of the dumber tropes common in the genre, but JK Haru goes for the throat with some hard hitting criticism of the exploitative and sexist themes the genre frequently relies on. The book doesn't come from a place of hate for the genre though, rather a genuine yearning for something better.
