This is a list of quality BL works that avoid a lot of common unhealthy tropes in the genre.

Wholesome in this context does not necessarily mean fluffy stories devoid of drama (though there are some). A lot of these do have drama, but the point is that the relationships have a large focus on consent and are also healthy, positive influences for the characters.

All of these entries are complete and are personally recommended favorites (roughly arranged in order of enjoyment).

All works listed exhibit the following:
- Consensual, positive, non-toxic relationships
- Strong characterization and/or strong narratives
- Completed, shorter length series (most are 1-3 volumes, upper limit is 5)
- Quality art (bonus points for unique and non-stereotypical art styles)
- Manga works only

Other common preferences, but not in every work:
- Relationship equality and/or reversal of expected dynamics
- Non-mundane settings and premises (speculative/supernatural/fantasy/sci-fi elements)

Ok, we know how many stories there are with students of all kinds (delinquents, honor students, baka/stupid ones, popular ones, sporty and son on)
But sometimes high school and college/university stories are different, so I wanted to create separate lists, anyway I'll try to add usually sweet, fluffy and heartwarming stories.

Manga that feature characters that can communicate messages non verbally. Either by sending, receiving or both.

This can include: telepaths, mind readers, thought projection, empathy, emotion sensing, and any other form of mind to mind connection.

Some may need to touch another person, or object, others are highly sensitive and can reach for miles to connect to their receiver or sender.

BL I’ve completed and enjoyed reading. All of these manga are stuff I have reread multiple times.
