There are many book series about people meeting from different cultures, and for good reason. People who grow up in different environments behave differently and have differing ideas of what's normal. Even in light novels, this idea is explored when people move from the countryside to the city, or even between schools. So you would think this series, with a main character who theoretically spent half her life abroad in Russia, would touch on those aspects as well. Alya should have different cultural attitudes and behaviors than a typical Japanese girl. Otherwise what's the point of her being Russian?

Just read the story already. It's the perfect LN for any of you who has a sweet tooth. The story has its own depth, the character is quite interesting with a mysterious back story that makes you curious about them. The heroine is a tsundere who only speaks her mind in Russian, but that is the main gimmick of the novel and I think that this works great. I'm Really Enjoying it and Wish there will be an anime/manga adaptation in the future and hope it will be a good artist or good studio...
The story is really good and I find it really adorable and hope this novel becomes successful in the future... I can give this a 9 since it's still a novel which I don't read that much with this one being the exception. I have to use my imagination on what's happening and one illustration to use my imagination to animate it...haha.... Now I'm just waiting for the upcoming chapters :D . . . This is the first review I write but I'll make it clear: Roshidere is a 10/10 light novel
If you like a relax time reading romcom light novel, I wiIll highly reccommend this one. When I started reading the LN, I thought the story was quite interesting so I kept reading and overall IT IS A GOOD LIGHT NOVEL PLZ READ IT!!! For those who hate Roshidere I gotta tell you: come on the charaters is not bad ok??? Most of you just read at chapter 1 or at least 20 of the LN there's more for you guys to see how they are well developed and ...

This novel is not bad per say, if I was unfamiliar with japanese romcoms I’d even give this a 7, however Roshidere is just a reskin of a reskin of a reskin. Shitty tropes? Check. Garbage side characters? Check. Unoriginal? Check!
All you need to know before you read this is that you’re not getting anything new, if you like the standard japanese romcom then go and read it, however if you’re looking for an actual good novel, get off this website. I will admit the authors writing is pretty good, however the plot is just not noteworthy, characters are bland and uninteresting, I’d even rate ...

With me,roshidere light novel is peak, it so interested,funny and romantic,character is unique, i love this light novel, The drawings are very beautiful, the situations are extremely funny :)).The characters interact with each other without being forced, but very natural and unique.I especially like the character kuze in the story, to me he is very cool and witty in his own thoughts.
It's too good for a newbie to light novels. I recommend you read it.I think you will definitely like it. Even though it has an anime, the anime really doesn't do as well as its light novel, which makes me extremely disappointed, its anime only ...

Just go read this already. Especially if you are someone like me who love a simple, funny , light hearted story between tightly bonded characters, filled with wholesome moments here and there, and the occasional serious moments that adds so much depth to the story.
I went into reading Roshidere with very low expectations. We've seen this genre for the umpteenth time, where two characters are secretly in love with each other but it goes nowhere for 173 volumes because they want to milk all the profit out of this series (cough cough rent a girlfriend). This manga is in my opinion very good . Im currently reading chapter 14 and Im excited and waiting for the next chapter. I have to admit that the manga has a classic theme of a very beautiful girl who turns every head, who is from abroad... this time it is from Russia (a big plus for the use of the alphabet (Azbuka) for the authenticity of the Russian language). I dont want to spoil too much, but it is a very wholesome manga with different emotions from both protagonists who will be introduced there. I recommend the manga to those who like this type

Would 100% recommend for others to try pick it up. The plot is very wholesome and the characters are really interesting. Even though there are some cliche but those are one of the most wholesome cliche ever. The main girl became my top waifu easily, I absolutely love her personality and altitude. The character designs are amazing, I personally love it as well as the artwork, whoever drew it deserve a raise. If you have some free time I can assure you this story will make you smile and laugh, it really is a great time killer. Plot 9/10 Characters 10/10 Art 10/10 ...
