I wouldn't normally think that comedy and horror could be combined, but somehow this makes it work. While the subject matter is very dark (murder, abduction, cannibalism, rape, assault, human trafficing, etc.) it's presented in such a way that the reader doesn't dwell on or think too deeply about those aspects. Instead the focus is shifted to the relationship that has been formed and poking fun at the absurdity of it all.
Some might object to its "romanticization" of Stockholm syndrome, but I don't think this work was ever meant to be taken seriously and thus I wouldn't dwell on that too much.

Not your go-to for moral judgment and questionable values to dig in!
Totally would recommend this for those unhinged and totally love a good mix between smut and laughs. Nailed the whole Kansai jokes and all, even in the translation (kudos, y'all). Playful comedy with Stockholm's syndrome mixed between blurry gag and tense atmosphere. We could see what the authors might love in MRM through this work, the angst was half good for those who seek for one. One of the finest dark comedy Yaoi work. 1.
