Both has the girl and the gang of five guys. However in taranta it revolves more around two guys and one girl, compared to FIVE when the group of guys is more in the story. Both are light reading with a bit of comedy, troubles and of course love....

Similar plots: The naive main protagonist(Ninako/Hikaru) has an energetic male childhood friend(Daiki/Masato). Her female best friend(Sayu/Nene) later falls in love with him. The protagonist falls in love with a guy but she is rejected (Ren/Miki), then the best friend of that guy gets close to her(Andou/Jun). Later the first guy starts going out with her again as friends and the love triangle is formed. All characters have extremely similar personalities, and the love triangle is also very similar (the serious guy with issues, the guy who becomes a friend but teases the girl and has a hate-love relationship with her, and the goody goody protagonist) so  read more
