Boyfriend was about a girl who transfers into a new school and befriends the cool, aloof genius boy of the class. It turns out she left her old school because of conflict, and with the help of Tachibana is able to overcome her anxieties.
The story was a pretty typical shoujo, but I like reading them so it was enjoyable to me. I was expecting the truth behind why she left her old school to be more interesting, since she took pills during the beginning of the story. The only real miff I had was the ending, it was way too abrupt...

Yes, this is your typical shoujo manga where the main girl falls in love with the guy, but the guy doesn't like her so she cries and yada yada yada yada. *Sigh So boring....The main girl is so annoying. She cries in almost every chapter and it ticks me off. She also interferes with other people's problems and thinks that she's doing the right thing. You might think that this manga is cute, but I personally like a manga where the girl is smarter and doesn't cry about every damn thing. In conclusion, don't read this manga.
