My review score is a meme.

This is perhaps one of the most indulgent, amusing, shitpost of a manga ever made. Clearly, this is a work that is not meant to be taken seriously or thoughtfully. The story makes little to no sense, the art is mediocre at best (but damn can the artist draw sharks hahaha), and no subtlety or semblance of reality can be found here. This is a work that is gloriously aware of what it is and completely revels in it. What makes this even more entertaining is that it appropriate and destroys the Isekai tropes that I've spent much time ... guiltily reading.

I, personally can't help but be taken in by the sheer absurdity proposed. This is one hell of a ride. But don't say I didn't tell you this jumps the shark before any semblance of a ramp was even built. I have no clue how long this manga can roll with this absurdist setting, but enjoy it for what it is and not for what it is not.

"Killer Shark in Another World" is about a girl who spawns a shark. It is omnipotent. It can do anything and the manga tries to explain this with a lot of logic, which makes no sense at all. But since the manga is really convinced of its garbage talk, you kind of want to believe it, you want to think that it makes sense.

Actually, I've summed up the charm of the series with my first two lines ... and don't need to say any more. If you want a manga that talks trash from front to back and somehow twists all the tropes you know until they become new, stupid and funny, then read this.

The story is based around a girl wanting to be a hero, instead, summons a monster as a familiar, and destroys everything in her path due to her familiar. The contrast of the main character wanting to be the hero who stops the demon army but instead becomes a character who accidentally destroys everything makes the story enjoyable.

Besides the contrast between wanting good, and becoming an unwanted evil mixed in with comedy and gore, the overall story is a generic magic isekai that follows the journey of a generic character.

The art however is above average throughout the story, but exceeds expectations on parts where it's ... needed to bring out amazing visuals. The gore is enjoyable, and I enjoy seeing all the characters being ripped apart, and is the main point as to why I have continued reading.

You can only get so much enjoyment from the story and plot by themselves due to it being a bland and unexciting development. The main character becomes the strongest person in the world due to their familiar, and nothing stands in their way because of it. This makes the story predictable and partly boring.

Overall, I rate the manga as an alright one, but in the end, it's nothing too special.

Sure the art looks cliche or not to stand out but that is the point till it gets the real tough shit. Like battle ready scene are kcheif kiss! The way the author draws the transformation of our main hero shark!!


The plot is a simple cliche one but WHAT MAKES IT UNIQUE IS THE OVER THE TOP MAYHEM! POOR GIRL CAN'T EVEN REDEEM HERSELF.

THE SHARK IS CUTE NO MATTER WHAT FORMS AND HIS LOVE DEVOTION TO HIS ... MASTER IS THE BEST.

It could be throughly enjoy more if you seen them shark b movies like Sharknado, Sharktopus, three head shark, ect. saying this because of the hidden reference and what not.

In all honestly, it's not that bad. It's a manga about a girl with seemingly little magical power that somehow summons a monster (a shark one) and it focuses heavily on comedy. Dark humor, cuz you'll probably see people killed and gore every chapter.

For the story, it's mostly episodic, but from what I have read I think it's actually starting to have a little bit of storyline, and I hope I won't be disappointed in the future. It's not trying that hard to be something, it mostly just goes ... with the flow. As for the characters, they're completely over the top and stereotypical, completely annoying.

The art is really good. Probably the best thing about it.

Overall, I recommend it if you like comedy and mangas without a very deep plot. It's not a strong recommend tho keep that in mind.

The whole point of this manga is to be over the top, like sharknado or higher levels of over the top. Really the only good thing I can say about this manga is that the art is pretty decent. I couldn't even bring myself to finish the second chapter and if you manage to force yourself to get past that point and it actually gets better, well good for you, but this is some of the most godawful stuff I have ever read. I think when they were making this the creator went for that "The Room" levels of bad where it's ... so bad it's funny but it fails miserably at this. If you're going into this to expect some actually good story either you can turn away because this is pretty generic too, "outcast girl gets super powerful somehow, does something bad and gets expelled."

TL;DR: It's bad, really the only good thing I can say about this is that the art isn't terrible.
