Odoru Respawn is about Dannoura Choushi, a guy who basically has Minecraft Respawn powers and his hot Yandere GF who wouldn't hesitate killing him, Yamazaki An. If you want to watch a cute slice of life RomCom, here it is.

Story: 6/10
Not the most comprehensive story, it's a slice of life after all. Although, a lot of chapters seem to tease a plot developing down in the future, so I'll give it a 6 for now.

Art: 7/10
The art isn't Berserk or Vagabond levels. It's a cute and simplistic artstyle, and it does its job. The cute style contrasts with the dark edgy humor and makes the ... visual aesthetic stick out.

Character: 8/10
The characters are probably the manga's best strength. Their interactions are so entertaining. Choushi and his best freind we're both awesome characters. An is kind of a generic Yandere girl but there's a part of her character that caught my attention.

Enjoyment: 8/10
Individually, the elements of the story are pretty subpar. But together, this is a really enjoyable manga. It's a cute slice of life manga that deserves trying out.

Overall: 7/10

It is a pretty mediocre manga failing in certain areas and fully deserves a 4.

The art is "different" but the kind you see often enough already. I would still rate it a 7 as it is a fitting style and makes for an overall comfortable read.

The "story" is shallow at close to zero depth. It has an episodic feel to it, more so since most happenings won't have too much significance. It is a "romantic comedy" but is also lacking in those areas. It started feeling stale after reading multiple chapters in a row. The "gags" lack punch and the romance is annoying at best.

The ... characters are one dimensional. They just are a tad bit too generic. Most are lame with one "special trait", like being immortal, sadistic, yandere, lesbian whatever else you want- and they pretty much only act out/for said one trait. Because of that most character interactions feel robotic at times and have this forced feel to them. Also, MC is just at the recieving end of every "gag" and the crews punchingbag- it is weird.

One of the main parts- the romance- is underdeveloped and annoying. The rivalry is frustrating and the female lead is getting shifted into random roles to fit "an episode" far too often. When she turns sl*t randomly, just loves the other dude or acts to overly hurt MC, you just want to close the manga/website. It can, again, be frustrating at times and very cringy-edgy. At this point you feel like she is not in love with MC but just lusting after him for his immortality and that she would do it with any dude.


Read it? ye, but not too seriously and only if you got to pass time.
