While anime was more focused on triangle love between Makoto, Sekai and Kotonoha, manga version did add some variety to it. Manga has decided to do something different that would actually please the audience: Give Makoto an actual character development. Unlike an anime version, we can see that he's not only focused on sexual relationship with every girl he encounters but is aware of his weaknesess. That thing said, I beleve it to be better than any other adaptations of the series. The story hasn't changed that much, but the author had to make it cramped a bit. It'll make you glued to those pages.

This manga shines light on the complexities and the darkness of love, especially Young Love. Sekai Saionji (I was all for calling her Best Girl in the series at first) is a crazed and manipulative girl who literally took advantage of her friends budding romance and destroyed it with jealous callousness. It was slightly better than the anime adaptation where Makoto Itou's more of an admirable character yet dense while wrestling with his intimate feelings. Had the anime stuck more true to the manga with good elements from the Visual Novel, it could have been better. I am not opposed to tragedies, yet the ending ... was a bit too eerie and heartbreaking to take. The ending in the anime between Sekai and Kotonoha was more gratifying than the manga. Very satisfying as I do ship Kotonoha and Makoto (please don't hold it against me). This manga started off well and progressed with a usual teenage romantic story that takes a lurid route. Personally, I enjoyed good endings to the visual novel in contrast to the manga but it should be held as a cautionary story on the consequences of not acting truthfully on ones feelings for another and the obsessive desires that drive people to destroy obstacles to gaining their soulmate's love.

Ok...? I heard about school days for years and years but I refused to play that game or even watch the entire anime, then I found out about a short manga with only 12 chapters, so, why not?

Ok! Then I read and that's WHY NOT. School Days is a poorly written manga, with a stupid and boring plot that could make your dog want to kill itself if it knew how to read.

The thing is: There's a generic male character 1 that I didn't even get to memorize the name, he's not interesting, ... he's nothing, he has no personality, still, the generic female character "shy" and the generic female character "extroverted" fall in love with him, AT THE SAME TIME, but, he's "in love" with the generic shy one, because she's cute and she can't even hold hands with him, but anyways, he keeps cheating on her, with the extrovert girl that keeps harassing him or something, then they have sex, etc, to the moment they are caught, so, the shy one turns into a Joker project from one chapter to another, tries to kill the extrovert girl, but she fails, then the extrovert kills her, ENDING.

Yeah! School Days tries so hard to have a major plot twist, doing that with no development or not even caring if that would make sense, it just ends.
