Both the MC's experience love and have a sickness that makes it hard for them to do things / fit in. But they're still cheerful till the end and would do anything for love. Taiyou no uta is a bit shorter, more light, and is more about how to live out life, whereas TKA is more about love. (Sorta) But they're both really good stories and has really meaningful messages!

both manga are short and depict love stories

Both are about a girl that is not expected to live very long, so she decides to make the most of the time she's got. Both girls also accomplish this by spending time with a boy. They also deal with loss and become very sad at the ending. There is also an aspect of singing/playing music together with the couples.

Both mangas have a tragic romance theme. Both have a person that has a disease unbeknownst to the love interest, but is soon found out. Both couples separate at one point, but get back together. However, that person's health deteriorates, and it ends tragically. Taiyou no Uta is much more short and lighthearted, whereas Koizora: Setsunai Koimonogatari is much more long and much more mature.

Reading Taiyou no Uta reminded me a lot of Eien no With. Taiyou no Uta is about a girl with a rare disease, and her struggle to live a normal life while battling it. Eien no With is about a girl and her dog, and how painful it is to say goodbye to him. They don't seem similar on the surface, and in fact I can't really say why I'm recommending Taiyou no Uta without spoiling the ending. But if you've read either one of these manga, and were touched or moved by the ending, the other one should move you in a similar way.
