This is another typical isekai OP-MC type story where our MC, Yuuya Tenjou, transforms for a short, chubby kid with social anxiety and an inferiority complex to a tall, attractive man with social anxiety and an inferiority complex.

So unlike your normal isekai story, Yuuya can travel between the real world and the isekai world, meaning his good fortune is better than most MCs. Of course, we already have signs of a harem forming for Yuuya, but that's to be expected in a story like this.

Unlike many manga readers, I like these types of OP-MC Isekai harem trash, so of course, my MAL score reflects on ... that fact.

This story has potential to be a pretty good entry to this genre (it's not gonna win any prizes unlike few other manga of its genre) so I rate it 7/10.

It's better to view this manga as a troll or joke to enjoy it more.

The story really does apply to its name. Let's start off in the first few chapters. Our mc's life is absolute shit to the point where his family kicked him out when they got the chance. But little do you know that this is the turning point for him!

Our mc obtains a portal into another world. Slowly but surely his life becomes heaven. Personally, the pacing is ... faster than anything else, but that's what makes it so good because it's just bad.

I'd call it a joke manga of isekai, but a joke where you want to stay. Just so you can make fun of it for longer. It's every bad isekai trope written out. OP main character, yup. Harem? most likely.

While the story is a joke, I at least like our protagonist. The protagonist is quite innocent, helping others and it ends up helping him out. Once again the stereotype for a hero. He has the basic assholes around him of course which are his family.

They aren't that flushed out but then again it's just the beginning of the manga so I have hope.

Enjoyment: 9/10
I suggest reading this where you can see comments. Because oh dear god it's fucking hilarious. I can't tell if the manga is serious but I end up laughing at how op the mc is. Truly it is a masterpiece in the sense that I can just laugh at the tropes.

While I enjoy reading it for the lovely tropes. It lives up to its name for Isekai de cheat. I would have to say that this isn't the best or worst isekai. It's truly in the middle. I would give it a 5 but because of the comments and being able to laugh, I bumped up the overall grade.

If I were to rate the isekai alone it would be a four or three. So if you read this just enjoy it for its so bad trope writing that it just becomes

Isekai stories are escapist narratives, and in that vein, most of them are power fantasies (I guess KonoSuba might be the slight exception). I usually don't have a problem with power fantasies that wear their heart on their sleeve - we need stories like that once in a while after all, but Isekai de Cheat Skill... is apparently where I draw the line.

Its attempts at conjuring power fantasy go beyond being blatant, it is almost fully transparent. But that is not what makes it truly egregious. What makes this such a bafflingly poor read is its self-important aspirations to discuss ideas about self-worth despite ... not depicting any realistic notion of how an individual goes about attaining self-worth. His improvement cannot be attributed much to himself, after all, he got them through some ridiculously easy Isekai-leveling-power fantasy system, so what conversation is there regarding self-worth? - in contrast, Mushouku Tensei, while too an escapist power fantasy, depicted the main character putting considerable effort into attaining his level of power and skill. You can argue that his betterment was the result of his efforts rather than the power fantasy aspect of the narrative.

The only thing that can be said to be the main character's is his good-hearted nature, and I bet the narrative will conclude on this point of the main character as some attempt to idealise him. But even that aspect did not have enough attention and development, letting it appear rather superficial within the story. I have to say that the art is pretty good, and the whole improvement in another world sort of thing is interesting and can be done competently as seen in something like Solo Leveling, but this... this was just way too lazily done. The main character didn't put in like a decent amount of effort to get his level of success and the fact that he gets brainlessly idealised for his lazily attained improvement in the 'real world' makes it all the more difficult to stomach. That's not only a bad mentality, it's bad writing. All in all, this was just rather painful to read.
