Creepy Cat is a gag-a-day type of story that sometimes breaks off into a small plot piece that gets completely solved without problems or consequences.
Art: 8/10
The art is very much cute, or stylish in the gothic aesthetic, sometimes trying to be cute-creepy, achieving a tone similar to Tim Burton in occasions. I love the diverse designs on each of the characters, and some of the gags work well because of those designs, such as the creepy mascots.
Characters: 6/10
It's just acceptable with the characters. Simple, cute, usually just archetypes that collide with each other, however, they do manage to give them small pieces of depth

This manga feels much like a 'gag-a-day' strip as most pages can stand on their own and offer a comedic punchline. On occasion there will be a small arc that covers a number of pages; this happens more often the further into the story you go.
As for plot, there isn't really much yet or, at the very least, the story is only just starting to get into one. Most arcs just uncover character backstory or explore the existing world a bit. All this said, I actually quite enjoyed the world in this story. The art is very fitting and I am rather fond of it. The ... Jul 27, 2020
I found this manga today and since it´s description is really vague I decided to write a review. So even though this manga has now 187 chapters it´s actually very quick read since one chapter equals one page.
This manga belongs to comedy, supernatural and horror genre (which is very light so even a scaredy cat like me is fine reading this). It definitely isn´t a slice of life as MAL states, since it´s about titular Creepy cat that is definitely not a cat. Or at least not a normal one. So if you are looking for sloce of life I suggest looking somewhere else. ... Jul 29, 2020
Kind of creepy that the time I reviewed this is just after someone else did. It must be the work of Creepy Cat! The story is about Flora and her pet that for simplicity's sake, we'll call a "Creepy Cat". Up until now, it's not clear what they are.
STORY: The story is episodic in nature and sometimes are related to the previous chapters. They barely go anywhere and will mostly be something bizarre or occult. ART: Gothic style is cool and fits the theme. CHARACTERS: They're ok but kind of weird and mysterious that I sometimes wonder what they are. ... Jul 15, 2023
Recommended for readers willing to wait until the last part of the second volume and starting on the third, for this title to get something going. This is a gag manga about the misadventures of the titular cat. So, forget about any character development of the main human characters. It is really all about the cute creepy cat, or cats. More of them are coming.
As I said, it got something going in the latter half of the series, that's when the author gave the main characters, Flora the goth artist, and Oscar the bald cop some backstory that tied into the overarching storyline of the ... |
