It's about a girl cross-dressing as a guy in order to play the sport she loves. Both have fathers pushing their athletic dreams onto their daughters. But Nononono is a lot darker from what I can tell up to the 18th chapter. Power!! Is more happy and go lucky but they both have pretty good comedy. Both of the girls in these two mangas have romantic feelings for guys who think they're guys like them.

Two great sports manga with lovely character design and compelling story!

Both feature incredibly naturally talented (in some sort of winter sport) protagonists who face competitions and have their own pasts to deal with. Nononono is more ecchi, however, and includes a cross-dressing element.

Both are series where a talented and athletic girl dresses up as a guy to compete in some pretty bad-ass sports. The only difference is that Nononono is more ecchi.

Both stories are about siblings who want to achieve something in sport for the sake of their deceased sibling.

Both mangas are about sports, where the main female characters are both interested in the male category of a sport, due to the limitations of being female in comparison to a male's physique . In the case of Nononono, female ski jumpers are not allowed in the Olympics, and in case of Cross Game, female players are not allowed in the Koshien. Both mangas also contain tragedy. However, Nononono contains darker undertones, while Cross game has more comical reliefs.

- Gender bender - Sports and overcoming difficultis; both in said sport and in the main-characters relationships - Romance; much more so in Hana Kimi than Nonono though A few differences is that Nonono is more focused on the sport aspect of it while Hana Kimi focuses more on the romance, but both are very good and entertaining gender-benders.

Both of these manga involve girls with a goal in a certain sport and both pretending to be a male and crossdressing, for Nono it's Ski jumping and Uwasa it's soccer. Along the way, they're discovered but the person instead helps them with the sport and protecting their secret and they both fall for the main heroine. Nono has more drama and seriousness to it then Uwasa has but they're both great manga. If you liked Nono you may also like Uwasa
