dark heaven is a love story but also a criticism of the society for me.
this is not the first BL manhwa I read but it is my favorite and holds a special place in my heart.
story: 10/10
the story presents a variety of serious issues, such as homophobia, racism, hate crimes, abuse, and corruption in the entertainment industry.
it presents the harsh reality and it's something we don't always see in the BL genre. it's realistic and shows that not everything is 'flawless'.
reading this manhwa made me think deeply about all the wrong things in our society.

Dark Heaven is a story about two boys who fell in love amidst a homophobic, racist, and cruel society. Honestly, one of the best things I've ever read in the genre of yaoi manhwas, I think this story is a genre of its own.
Story: 10/10 Dark Heaven is not a story for the faint of heart or sensitive people. The story is actually very realistic when it comes to addressing social and other issues present in society and does a very good job at being thought provoking. A combination of sweet romance and dark reality. Most of Dark Heaven is told through flashbacks, so it has the "at that time we never knew we'd become like this" feel to it. You follow the life of two boys who go from friends to lovers, and have supported each other untill one incident destroyed it all. This story doesn't shy away from racism and homophobia, and actually targets it in the right and realistic way.
