Synopsis

Aijin are beast-like beings that, despite their extraordinary abilities, are subjugated by humankind due to their smaller population. While male Aijin are required to serve in the military, their female counterparts are forced to work lowly jobs.

Born as Aijin, Rangetsu Ko and her younger twin brother, Sougetsu, fend for themselves. Rangetsu is soon devastated when Sougetsu's powers are awakened and he is taken away to become the prince Tenyou's beast-servant.. Not long after, she hears rumors that her brother has been killed by Prince Tenyou himself. Brimming with anger, Rangetsu disguises herself as a man and enlists in the military, eventually becoming Prince Tenyou's next beast-servant.

Although her opportunity to exact her revenge is within reach, Prince Tenyou defies Rangetsu's expectations, and she begins questioning the circumstances surrounding Sougetsu's death. Pursuing the truth leads Rangetsu into a political game far more dangerous than she could imagine.

Preliminary (11/? eps)
This is my first review of a manga, and I don't know how much to write so I will make it short :)

Born into slavery, forced prostitution, and tragedy, this girl sees all the ways her people (Ajin) are abused, but this girl doesn't crumble. She gives up everything of herself to help her people (Ajin) and to her brhother that got murder. To do that she has to go undercover and pretend to be a boy so she can get close to her target that killd her brhother

I really enjoyed this manga and can’t wait for the next volume to get out. The ...

Okay listen up. I suck at writing reviews and making critical or thoughtful analysis on the things that I like. So this is all just stuff that comes from the heart. Also, I'm not writing a plot summary cuz you can find that on google.

GUYS. G U Y S. This manga is so good it makes me absolutely feral. What really stuck out to me from the very beginning was this artist's god like art style. Every panel for this manga feels like a work of art I want to plaster all over my wall. It has clean, delicate line art and very distinctive character ...

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (40/? eps)
I originally rated this series an 8 and would maintain that had the series just ended when the driving plot device of revenge was resolved. Since the last couple volumes the series' themes bleating about racism constantly has gotten tiresome and there's little to no tension in the story anymore. Everything has become predictable and oh so preachy. I originally waited eagerly for new volumes to come out, and now I've stopped reading it somewhere in the most recent volume.
I mean, if you love things that beat the drum over and over about racism and oppression you'll probably like it after the first few volumes ...
