When it comes to supernatural abilities and witches, Junketsu no Maria and Yamada-kun to 7-nin no Majo knows its intentions. Both series crafts a story with magic elements that involves a witch as the main character. And although their personality are not entirely similar, they do have a big heart and is always willing to help those in need. Both series takes place in different settings and time periods. However, they have a colorful cast of characters where they all play some meaningful roles in the story.

Despite taking place in contrasting settings, both focuses on magic with a lot of influence on the characters and story. The main female protagonist in both series has a strong will and potential to achieve great successes. There is characterization that focuses on its main cast as well as their background stories. Throughout their story, there's also subtle romance that develops as well. Recommended for fans of fantasy fiction.
