Well, the manga is called Mysteries, Maidens, And Mysterious Disappearances, and it certainly delivers its fair share of each. So far, it seems like it's in a very solid place in terms of characters, pacing, and general plot direction.

"Mysteries, Maidens, And Mysterious Disappearances" is your typical supernatural manga with a very misleading title in the "Mysteries" regards. That's not to say this isn't an enjoyable read by any means, I would definitely recommend it if you're into supernatural stuff. But if you're going into this manga with certain expectations for it being labeled as a "Mystery Seinen", you might come out very disappointed. Unlike what the title of the manga suggests, this manga is a supernatural thriller first and foremost, it's definitely NOT a mystery.

I'll just say the first 40 chapters are boring, the Male MC seems to know a lot, making the Mystery aspect to be gone with a single page of yapping. Would be better for the Female MC to try and solve it first like in the first arc.
The characters so far seems shallow, they try to give them sad backstory but it just doesn't seem to click for me cause I know they won't appear or help in the future. Making them have no more character growth. The Manga is very distracting with the Fan Service like: "I swear this scene of her showering is integral ... |
