Generic? Maybe? But it's a school life rom-com. In my mind, it's okay to know what you're getting. This is the type of manga you keep reaching for despite having thousands of other "masterpiece manga". I'll explain why this is the case for me.
From the start, there's one clear romance interest. The art may not be done-up, but the drawings are just so pleasing. The chapters are short and it's easy to read any where because of it's simplicity. Keep in mind, it operates like other rom-com SOL's do. It is very light on the plot, and intentionally so. You can literally read it wherever/whenever

Onizuka-chan to Sawarida-kun isn't all together uninteresting or incompetent. Honestly if you haven't read a lot of generic RomCom manga you might actually get a lot of mileage out of reading this. Progress is steadily made, the art is decent, and the pacing is efficiently swift. While the characters are rather shallow, to an inexperienced reader who hasn't seen a lot of tropes, this might not be a major problem. Afterall, my problems with the series are a little more personal in the end.

Listen I'll keep this short There's not much to say about this manga. If you wanted to read some cute wholesome time killer romance that's only meant to give you a straight face most of the time with the occasional smile while reading, then this might be your jam, but there is one MASSIVE issue with this manga. And that issue is the ending, if you could call it that. I had just read the last few chapters thinking "oh nice the thing that was meant to happen midway the manga, but had been delayed till the end because the author needed ... |
