At first I was surprised about how well the rape trauma is portrayed, since this is sadly not the case for many BL stories.
The novelist called Takami seemed like a nice guy at first and even gave him some pretty helpful advice in how to cope with the trauma.
I was getting really excited on how the story would progress and had some pretty high hopes. Then it all came crashing down....
As the boy discovered the novelists work the older man suddenly rapes him. Even though Kiyo struggels against him, he doesn't stop.
I was honestly shocked since I really hadn't expected that. Takami
...
knew very well what he had done and kind of blames his actions on his childhood. Kiyo even acknowledges that he was raped by Takami but dismisses it by saying that he felt "safe" with him and that he was in love with him.
After Takami tells Kiyo that he can leave now, Kiyo confesses and Takami tells him that he likes him too since he was still desiring him even after he had already had him ???!!!
He acknowledges that their age difference is fairly high and his friend even jokingly said "first time with a high-schooler?"
After that they live "happily ever after"...
I find it really sad that serious topics like rape often get dismissed by a false idea of "love" in so many BL mangas and this one is just another example.
