An ongoing list of the most important/influential figures in post-war manga and some of their most important series. In no particular order.

Post-war refers to after World War II. So the list will exclude figures most known for works which came out prior to the War like Tagawa Suiho and Yokoyama Ryuuichi, as well as some figures not currently on MAL, such as Fukui Eiichi.

Series that are heavily overlooked on MAL (at the time of writing, under 2k members). Most, if not all of them are also underrated. Will likely add series in the future as I read them.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good by-the-book sports manga. But variety is the spice of life, so here are some sports manga that don't fit the mold.

The mold:
1. Fully male team/almost entirely male cast
2. School sports team
3. Teen athletes

So if it doesn't fit all of those criteria, it fits this list!

The thing that bothers me the most in GL/Yuri is the amount of generic looking/"loli"-like girls, highly marketed towards guys. So here's a personal list of different GL stories with unique/beautiful art styles and character designs.
