both center a female lead who crushes on their charming co-worker/school-mate, and begs for the help of said co-worker/school-mate's best friend who coincidentally is another one of their love interests. While Good Day has a more supernatural twist, they both are jam packed with comedy and drama.

Both are romances featuring characters transforming into animals as a result of a curse. A Good Day to be a Dog leans a little more into the comedic side than Fruits Basket, but both deal with the struggles of finding love and establishing connections while under the constraints of a family curse.

The two manhwas have similar vibe in the romance part. Protagonists don't really like each other at first and need a bit of push from a third party to start truly looking at each other. Both have secrets they cannot tell others, while the girl's secrets have a supernatural background. Also, the supernatural part is connected with a long family history that also plays a big role.
