High school dropout Morio Kurokawa is a delinquent who comes across Yukiko Akaza, a girl with extremely poor vision due to a condition affecting her eyesight. She is not intimidated by hime and that sparkes an interest from Morio's side. A relaxing read with heartwarming story, romance when one partner is learning how to live with a disability, themes surrounding disability and relation to the Japanese society and educational notes.

Both are genuinely wholesome romcoms featuring unlikely pairings dealing with some prejudiced perspectives whilst still retaining a strong fluffy romance feel.

In both series MCs look like a yankee, but are good people in reality. In One Point Yankee romance is only a subplot while in Yan-Garu it's the main theme of the manga. Also, in Yan-Garu characters are (mostly) teenagers while in One Point Yankee most of the characters are adults.

Both cute and have adorable characters. The female leads have some sort of impairment and male leads have a delinquent/scared appearance. I’d say the personality are different or swapped in a sense, Yukiko seemed more like Kotori and Hane like Morio. Both recommend however Yankee-kun is not complete yet.
