Similarities: - Both MCs are high school girls and are shy. - Both take place in a high school and are SOL Differences: - You'll get lots of fanservice in Hitomi-chan but not really any on Bocchi. - There is a lot of romance in Hitomi-chan while Bocchi the rock is mostly a friend group setting. 

Just like BTR, girl meets rock is also a manga about forming a band and playing guitar, the comedy is not bad either. The drama is better in girl meets rock imo. Bocchy the rock is more on the comedic side.  

Similar joke (MC is Hitori Gotou, which means speaking to myself), similar MC personalities (Personally, I feel that Bocchi the Rock! is Hitoribocchi meets K-on!) 

Bocchi is a pathetic losergirl introvert, and Noa is a pathetic losergirl extrovert. Both of them exert unreasonably high pessimism, which makes them fun to read about.
