I'm not sure what to think of this book. Now I have NOT watched the movie, but I have read the manga, and all I can say is... It was fine.

There were some moments that I liked but overall it was alright.

Did I think it was a waste of my money? Ehh...

Was it enjoyable? Kind of..?

If you really want to read this manga then by all means go ahead. But make sure to read it online because this isn't really something you'd be incredibly proud to have on your shelf.

Ride Your Wave follows the story of Hinako that was saved in a fire by a firefighter Minato, whom she falls in love with. Their romance ends when Minato drowns. Hinako summons him multiple times by singing a song. The story is indeed very simple, but I'd say it's acceptable.

It talks about losing a loved one and not being able to move on, which was the case with Hinako. As time passes she accepts the truth which, I guess, can be called character development. For a manga with only 4 chapters, I think that's fine. When it comes to other characters though, they are ...
