First review ever so im gonna be quick:

the low score is because this is a slow burn, not super slow, but some people cant deal with progress being slow regardless of how steady it is, and yeah, the first half could have use a bit of trimming, once it does get to the second half it kicks into a speed that should be much more palatable to most and the ending is beautiful.

If you want to see a romcom that isn't a bunch of cliches tapped to one another and that doesnt stagnate for hundreds of chapters, read this, you wont regret it

A delightful little read and it was nice to finally read an LGBTQ+ romance that wasn't fetish-y asf.

The main two girls are adorable in their own ways, Kirara being a very sweet and very gay panic character. Charming and trying her best, it's fun to watch her try and win over our blunt and grumpy Takebe. The story isn't meant to be bombastic, large and in your face - it's a slow burn, a pair of morons trying to figure out their relationship and it's meant to be a read that makes you feel warm and fuzzy.

Also very good to get back into manga/anime ...

A cute story about two girls, who are now ex-rivals and end up in a relationship is not something you see often in manga. At least i havent until now, its a nice concept and it has a really entertaining dynamic between the characters.

The clash of a tomboy personality and a sweet shy girl sparks up a lot of potential for funny and cute moments as they contrast each other. The art itself might not be the best, but it portrays the characters and their personalities really well, although at first the two main girls basically looked the same (might be just me lol)

Overall, ...

Looking for an enemies to lovers that starts out right at that transition, and is a slow burn that's still binge-able and will keep you up 2 and a half hours past the time you planned on going to sleep because you just need to work your way through and see how it's going to end? If so, no you're not, you're not looking for it now because you've found it, and it's this. Granted, this is one of those manga that a lot would be solved by just communicating, but it's established early on that their communication styles (and general growing up) are different ...

maybe i'm dumb since this has such high ratings in the review, but it's so boringly quirky.

story - 3
the story is about two ex-rival delinquents who started to date after soramori beats her in a brawl and wins a bet, definitely unrealistic, i wouldn't mind, but damn is it poorly done, it was mundane, the fight wasn't interesting at all, and their after date, which was supposed to probably warm my heart, did not. more mundane things happen which is okay since it's a slice of life, but they failed at the comedic part, y'know, what usually saves the boring genre.
