Azur Lane: Bisoku Zenshin, better known as Slow Ahead manga, is officially released AL web manga in 4-koma format. As you could expect from such thing, it's aimed for AL players. What I mean here, it's made specifically as a fanservice for people who already have had contact with the universe - most shipgirls appear and play their roles without any introduction, assuming you already know who they are. If you haven’t played the game or at least watched anime, there is very little chance you will enjoy this manga.
It’s pretty much a Slice of Life story with Javelin in lead role and rest of

the starters (Z23, Laffey, Ayanami) as a main cast. Main purpose of their interactions is, as I mentioned before, fanservice and comedy. Manga plays on their in-game lines and quirks to cause some funny situations. It’s lighthearted and quite enjoyable.
Art in this manga is rather basic, be it backgrounds or effects. Character’s design is doing good job at mimicking that from game, although not perfect. Facial emotions are quite important for this kind of manga, and they do their job well.
I probably don’t need to write this, but if you like Azur Lane, you will enjoy this manga too. And, to repeat what I said in the beginning, if you don’t know Azur Lane, I really can’t recommend starting with Slow Ahead.
